भारत! पर्वतोंके शिखर टूट-टूटकर गिरने लगे। हरिणोंके झुंड पाण्डव-सेनाको अपने दायें करके चले गये ।।
tamasa cāvakīryanta sūryaś ca kaluṣo 'bhavat | sampatanti ca bhūtāni kravyādāni prahṛṣṭavat ||
สัญชัยกล่าวว่า “โอ ภารตะ ความมืดแผ่คลุมทั่วทุกทิศ สุริยะเองก็ดูหม่นมัวเศร้าหมอง และเหล่าสัตว์กินเนื้อพากันกรูกระโจนวิ่งวุ่น ราวกับยินดีนัก”
