Droṇa’s sweeping assault and the Abhimanyu–Jayadratha close-quarters episode (द्रोणस्य भीषणव्यचरितम् / सौभद्र-जयद्रथ-संनिपातः)
सिंहनादश्न संजज्ञे पाण्डवानां महात्मनाम् | धनुर्ज्यातलशब्दश्ष गगनस्पृक् सुभैरव:
saṁjaya uvāca | siṁhanādaś ca saṁjajñe pāṇḍavānāṁ mahātmanām | dhanurjyātalaśabdaś ca gaganaspr̥k subhairavaḥ | āptair āśu parijñātaṁ bhāradvājacikīrṣitam |
สัญชัยกล่าวว่า “เสียงคำรามดุจสิงห์ของเหล่าปาณฑพผู้มีจิตใจยิ่งใหญ่พลันบังเกิดขึ้น และเสียงสายธนูอันน่าสะพรึงกลัว ดังก้องจนประหนึ่งแตะต้องฟ้าก็สะท้อนกังวาน และเจตนาของบุตรแห่งภารทวาชะ (โทรณะ) ก็ถูกรู้โดยเร็วและถูกต้องผ่านผู้คนที่ไว้ใจได้”
