Droṇa’s Rebuke to Duryodhana after Jayadratha’s Fall (द्रोणेन दुर्योधनं प्रति प्रत्युक्तिः)
न सन्ति तस्मात् पुत्रा मे यथा संजय भाषसे । एको वै बहुला: सेना: प्रामृदूनत् सत्यविक्रम:
na santi tasmāt putrā me yathā sañjaya bhāṣase | eko vai bahulāḥ senāḥ prāmṛdūnat satyavikramaḥ, sañjaya |
เพราะฉะนั้น สัญชัย ดังที่เจ้ารายงาน บุตรของเราย่อมไม่อาจยังมีชีวิตอยู่ได้ หากสาตยกีผู้เลื่องชื่อด้วยวีรกรรมอันสัตย์จริง เพียงผู้เดียวได้บดขยี้กองทัพน้อยใหญ่ของเรามากมายให้กลายเป็นธุลีแล้ว เราจำต้องยอมรับว่าบุตรของเราถูกสังหารสิ้น
