संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the moral gravity of war: even when combat is conducted with skill and courage, its immediate fruit is death. It invites reflection on how strength and technique, without restraint, become means of sending others to Yama’s realm.
Sañjaya describes close-quarters fighting where warriors strike with hands and swords; by spotting small openings in each other’s defenses, they mutually kill or mortally wound one another, sending foes to the abode of Yama.
