tatprabhagnaṃ balaṃ dṛṣṭvā droṇenāmitatejasā | nāśakan nu vārayituṃ samastās te mahārathāḥ ||
The verse highlights how disciplined strategy and concentrated power can overwhelm even a united opposition, and it intensifies the moral pressure of war: once violence escalates under capable leadership, restraint becomes difficult, testing the warriors’ dharma and judgment.
Sañjaya reports that Droṇa has broken the opposing army’s formation; despite the combined efforts of all the great chariot-warriors, they cannot stop or contain him.
