अन्यांश्व शतशो बाणान् प्रेषयामास पार्षते । दुर्योधनहितार्थाय भर्तृपिण्डमनुस्मरन्,उसके बाद दुर्योधनके हितके लिये स्वामीके अन्नका विचार करते हुए धृष्टद्युम्नपर और भी सैकड़ों बाण चलाये
anyāṁś ca śataśo bāṇān preṣayāmāsa pārṣate | duryodhana-hitārthāya bhartṛ-piṇḍam anusmaran ||
แล้วโทรณะได้ระลึกถึงข้าวปลาอาหารที่ตนเคยรับจากนาย—ถือเป็นพันธะทางธรรม—เพื่อประโยชน์ของทุรโยธน์ เขาจึงยิงศรอีกนับร้อยใส่ธฤษฏทยุมน์ผู้เป็นบุตรแห่งปฤษตะ
