अप्सु वै शयनं चक्रे महात्मा पुरुषोत्तम: । सर्वतेजोमयो देवो योगात् सुष्वाप तत्र ह,सम्पूर्ण लोकोंके ईश्वर इन भगवान् श्रीहरिने पृथ्वीदेवी-की सृष्टि करके जलमें शयन किया। वे महात्मा पुरुषोत्तम सर्वतेजोमय देवता योगशक्तिसे उस जलमें सोये
apsu vai śayanaṃ cakre mahātmā puruṣottamaḥ | sarvatejomayo devo yogāt suṣvāpa tatra ha ||
ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “มหาตมะพุรุโษตตมะทรงทำห้วงน้ำเป็นที่บรรทม เทพผู้เปี่ยมด้วยเตชะทั้งปวงนั้นทรงเข้าสู่โยคนิทรา ณ ที่นั้นด้วยอานุภาพแห่งโยคะ”
