Description of the Dvīpa, Varṣas, and Mount Meru
उत्तरा: कुरवो राजन् व्याख्यातास्ते समासतः । मेरो: पार्श्वमहं पूर्व वक्ष्याम्यथ यथातथम्
uttarāḥ kuravo rājan vyākhyātās te samāsataḥ | meroḥ pārśvam ahaṃ pūrvaṃ vakṣyāmy atha yathātatham ||
ข้าแต่มหาราช ข้าพเจ้าได้กล่าวพรรณนาแคว้นอุตตรกุรุแก่พระองค์โดยสังเขปแล้ว บัดนี้จักพรรณนาแผ่นดินภัทราศวะซึ่งตั้งอยู่ ณ ด้านบูรพาแห่งเขาพระเมรุ ตามลำดับและตามความเป็นจริง
