भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ६२: वासुदेवमहात्म्यप्रशंसा (देव–ब्रह्मसंवादः)
पाण्डवा हि ततो राजन श्रुत्वा तं निनदं महत् । दध्मु: शड्खांश्न भेरीश्व मुरजांश्वाप्पनादयन्
pāṇḍavā hi tato rājan śrutvā taṃ ninadaṃ mahat | dadhmuḥ śaṅkhāṃś ca bherīś ca murajāṃś cāpy apānādayan ||
ข้าแต่มหาราช! ครั้นได้ยินเสียงกึกก้องอันยิ่งใหญ่นั้นแล้ว เหล่าปาณฑพก็เป่าสังข์ และให้เภรีกับมุรชะกลองต่าง ๆ ก้องกังวานขึ้น
