भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ६२: वासुदेवमहात्म्यप्रशंसा (देव–ब्रह्मसंवादः)
बहुशो5सि मया राजंस्तथ्यमुक्तो हितं वच: । अजेया: पाण्डवा युद्धे देवेरपि सवासवै:,“राजन! मैंने तुमसे अनेक बार यह सत्य और हितकी बात बतायी है कि युद्धमें पाण्डवोंको इन्द्र आदि देवता भी जीत नहीं सकते
bahuśo 'si mayā rājan tathyam ukto hitaṃ vacaḥ | ajeyāḥ pāṇḍavā yuddhe devair api savāsavaiḥ ||
สัญชัยกล่าวว่า “ข้าแต่พระราชา ข้าพเจ้าได้กล่าวถ้อยคำอันจริงและเป็นไปเพื่อประโยชน์ของพระองค์มาหลายครั้งแล้วว่า ในสงครามนี้พวกปาณฑพนั้นมิอาจพิชิตได้ แม้เหล่าเทพทั้งหลายก็ยังมิอาจชนะได้ ต่อให้มีพระอินทร์เป็นผู้นำก็ตาม”
