तत्राकरोद् रथोपस्थान् शून्यान् शान्तनवो बहून्
tatrākarod rathopasthān śūnyān śāntanavo bahūn | jighāṃsantaṃ yudhāṃ śreṣṭha tadā āsīt tumulaṃ mahat ||
สัญชัยกล่าวว่า—ข้าแต่พระราชา ณ ที่นั้น ภีษมะโอรสแห่งศานตนุทำให้แท่นรถศึกมากมายว่างเปล่าจากนักรบผู้ประจำรถ ครั้นเมื่อยอดนักรบทั้งหลายกรูกันเข้ามาด้วยเจตนาจะสังหาร การรบอันใหญ่หลวงและอึกทึกกึกก้องก็ปะทุขึ้นในบัดดล
