Kurukṣetra-sainyadarśana and Arjuna-viṣāda (धर्मक्षेत्रे समवेता युयुत्सवः — अर्जुनविषाद)

संजय उवाच ततः पार्थस्य विज्ञाय भक्ति मानववत्सला | अन्तरिक्षगतोवाच गोविन्दस्याग्रत: स्थिता,संजय कहते हैं--राजन्‌! अर्जुनके इस भक्तिभावका अनुभव करके मनुष्योंपर वात्सल्य-भाव रखनेवाली माता दुर्गा अन्तरिक्षमें भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्णके सामने आकर खड़ी हो गयीं और इस प्रकार बोलीं

sañjaya uvāca tataḥ pārthasya vijñāya bhaktiṃ mānavavatsalā | antarīkṣagatovāca govindasyāgrataḥ sthitā ||

สัญชัยกล่าวว่า—ครั้นแล้ว เมื่อทรงหยั่งรู้ภักติของปารถะ พระมารดาทุรคาผู้เปี่ยมด้วยความเอ็นดูต่อมนุษย์ทั้งหลาย ได้ปรากฏในเวหาหาว ยืนอยู่เบื้องหน้าพระโควินทะ แล้วตรัสดังนี้
