भीष्मपतनविषये धृतराष्ट्रस्य प्रश्नाः | Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Questions on Bhīṣma’s Fall
महाराज मनुष्येषु निन्द्यं यः सर्वमाचरेत् । स वध्य: सर्वलोकस्य निन्दितानि समाचरन्
mahārāja manuṣyeṣu nindyaṁ yaḥ sarvam ācaret | sa vadhyaḥ sarvalokasya ninditāni samācaran ||
ข้าแต่มหาราช! ในหมู่มนุษย์ ผู้ใดประพฤติแต่การกระทำอันน่าติเตียนโดยสิ้นเชิง และยืนหยัดทำกรรมอันถูกประณามอยู่เนืองนิตย์ ผู้นั้นย่อมเป็นผู้ที่ชนทั้งปวงเห็นว่า สมควรถูกประหาร ด้วยความอัปยศแห่งการประพฤตินั้นเอง
