निवृत्तेषु च सैन्येषु पारम्पर्येण सर्वश: । निर्मुक्तकवचा: सर्वे भीष्ममीयुर्नराधिपा:,बारी-बारीसे सब सेनाओंके युद्धसे निवृत्त हो जाने-पर सब राजा कवच खोलकर भीष्मके पास आये

nivṛtteṣu ca sainyeṣu pāramparyeṇa sarvaśaḥ | nirmuktakavacāḥ sarve bhīṣmam īyur narādhipāḥ ||

เมื่อกองทัพทั้งหลายทยอยกันถอนจากการรบไปทั่วทุกด้านแล้ว บรรดากษัตริย์ทั้งปวงก็ถอดเกราะออกและไปเฝ้าพระภีษมะ
