तथेतराउछरान् घोरान् शरै: संनतपर्वभि:

สัญชัยกล่าวว่า—ครั้นแล้วนักรบอีกฝ่ายก็โต้ตอบ ปล่อยศรอันน่าสะพรึง—ลูกศรที่มีปล้องแน่นงาม—ตอบความรุนแรงด้วยความรุนแรงท่ามกลางกระแสศึกอันมืดมน
संजय उवाच
The verse underscores the harsh reciprocity of war: once battle is joined, opponents respond in kind, illustrating how violence escalates and how martial duty (kṣatriya-dharma) operates within the battlefield’s grim ethics.
Sañjaya narrates a combat exchange in which one side responds to an attack by releasing fearsome, well-crafted arrows, continuing the back-and-forth of missile warfare.
