ततस्तु सशरं चाप॑ सात्वतस्य महात्मन: । क्षुरप्रेण सुतीक्ष्णेन चिच्छेद कृतहस्तवत्,तत्पश्चात् सिद्धहस्त पुरुषकी भाँति भीमसेनने अत्यन्त तीखे क्षुरप्रके द्वारा महामना कृतवर्माके बाणसहित धनुषको काट डाला
tatastu saśaraṃ cāpaṃ sātvatasya mahātmanaḥ | kṣurapreṇa sutīkṣṇena ciccheda kṛtahastavat ||
สัญชัยกล่าวว่า—แล้วภีมเสนผู้ชำนาญดุจผู้มีมืออันสำเร็จ ได้ใช้ศรคฺษุรปรอันคมกริบตัดคันธนูของกฤตวรมะ นักรบสาตวตผู้ใจใหญ่ ให้ขาดพร้อมทั้งศร
संजय उवाच
Even amid war, prowess is ideally governed by discipline and discernment: neutralizing an opponent’s capacity to harm (by cutting the bow) can reflect controlled force rather than indiscriminate violence, aligning battlefield action with the ideal of regulated conduct in dharma-yuddha.
Sañjaya narrates that Bhīmasena, with a very sharp razor-headed arrow, slices through Kṛtavarman’s bow along with the arrow on it, demonstrating superior archery and momentarily disarming his opponent.
