Adhyāya 90: Babhruvāhana’s Reception and the Commencement of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Aśvamedha

The verse emphasizes the honor accorded to spiritual excellence: a truly eminent Brahmin is considered worthy of being sought even by Brahmarṣis. It frames ‘darśana’ as a sacred encounter and presents heavenly ascent as a consequence of recognized merit and virtue.
The speaker, identified as the father-in-law, urges the addressed Brahmin to go to heaven, stating that exalted seers dwelling in Brahmaloka and traveling in vimānas desire to see him; this functions as a formal invitation and affirmation of the person’s spiritual stature.
