Babhruvāhana’s Lament and Appeal for Expiation (प्रायश्चित्त-याचना)
ददर्श चापि दूरेडस्य मातरं शोककर्शिताम् । उलूप्या सह तिष्ठन्तीं ततो5पृच्छद् धनंजय:,उससे थोड़ी ही दूरपर बभ्रुवाहनकी शोकाकुल माता चित्रांगदा उलूपीके साथ खड़ी थी। अर्जुनने जब उसे देखा, तब बशभ्रुवाहनसे पूछा--
dadārśa cāpi dūre tasya mātaraṃ śokakarśitām | ulūpyā saha tiṣṭhantīṃ tato 'pṛcchad dhanaṃjayaḥ ||
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า— เขายังเห็นมารดาของตนอยู่ไม่ไกลนัก ผู้ซูบซีดด้วยความโศก ยืนอยู่ร่วมกับอูลูปี; ครั้นแล้วธนัญชัย (อรชุน) จึงถามบัภรูวาหนะ
