Marutta Seeks Saṃvarta’s Priestly Support; Conditions, Truth-Discipline, and Rival Powers

संवर्त उवाच सत्यमेतद्‌ भवानाह स मां जानाति सत्रिणम्‌ | कथयस्व तदेतन्मे क्व नु सम्प्रति नारद:,संवर्त बोले--राजन्‌! तुम ठीक कहते हो, नारदको यह मालूम है कि मैं यज्ञ कराना जानता हूँ और गुप्त वेषमें घूम रहा हूँ। अच्छा यह तो बताओ, इस समय नारद कहाँ हैं?

Saṁvarta uvāca: satyam etad bhavān āha; sa māṁ jānāti satriṇam | kathayasva tad etan me, kva nu samprati Nāradaḥ ||

สํวรรตะกล่าวว่า “โอ้พระราชา ที่ท่านกล่าวนั้นเป็นความจริง นารทรู้ว่าเราชำนาญในการประกอบยัญพิธี และเราท่องไปในคราบอำพราง บัดนี้จงบอกเราเถิด—เวลานี้นารทอยู่ ณ ที่ใด?”
