This verse is a colophon rather than a doctrinal statement: its function is to signal the completion of the Brahmin’s instructional chapter within the Anugītā. The implied pedagogical point is structural—treating the Brahmin’s teaching as a discrete, authoritative unit embedded in the epic’s ethical reflections after the war.
The Brahmin’s discourse (Brāhmaṇa-gītā) reaches a formal close for chapter 26. The text marks its placement: Mahābhārata → Āśvamedhika Parva → Anugītā section → Brāhmaṇa-gītā → 26th chapter.
