हविर्भूता गुणा: सर्वे प्रविशन्त्यग्निजं गुणम्‌ | अन्तर्वासमुषित्वा च जायन्ते स्वासु योनिषु,“इनके जो समस्त गुण हैं, वे हविष्यरूप हैं। जो अग्निजनित गुण (बुद्धिवृत्ति)-में प्रवेश करते हैं। वे अन्तःकरणमें संस्काररूपसे रहकर अपनी योनियोंमें जन्म लेते हैं

havirbhūtā guṇāḥ sarve praviśanty agnijaṃ guṇam | antarvāsaṃ uṣitvā ca jāyante svāsu yoniṣu ||

พระวายุตรัสว่า “คุณทั้งปวง (คุณะ) ย่อมเป็นดุจเครื่องบูชา. ครั้นเข้าสู่คุณที่บังเกิดจากไฟ—คือความเคลื่อนไหวแห่งจิตที่เกิดจาก ‘ไฟ’ แห่งการรู้—ก็สถิตอยู่ภายในเป็นสังสการอันแฝงเร้น. เมื่อพำนักอยู่แล้ว ย่อมบังเกิดอีกครั้งในโยนิของตนตามสภาวะของตน”
