प्रयोजन च निर्वत्तमिह वासे ममार्जुन । धार्तराष्ट्रो हतो राजा सबल: सपदानुग:,अर्जुन! यहाँ मेरे रहनेका जो प्रयोजन था, वह पूरा हो गया है। धृतराष्ट्रका पुत्र राजा दुर्योधन अपनी सेना और सेवकोंके साथ मारा गया
prayojanaṁ ca nirvṛttam iha vāse mamārjuna | dhārtarāṣṭro hato rājā sabalaḥ sapadānugaḥ ||
โออรชุน จุดหมายที่เราพำนักอยู่ ณ ที่นี้บัดนี้สำเร็จแล้ว พระราชาธารตราษฏระ—ทุรโยธนะ โอรสธฤตราษฏระ—ถูกสังหารพร้อมด้วยกองทัพและผู้ติดตามทั้งปวง
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse frames the fall of Duryodhana as the completion of a divinely overseen purpose: when adharma culminates in destructive war, its leader’s defeat becomes the necessary closure that restores moral order, and even divine presences withdraw once their role is fulfilled.
Vāyudeva addresses Arjuna, declaring that his reason for staying in this context has been accomplished because Duryodhana—the Dhārtarāṣṭra king—has been killed along with his army and attendants, marking the decisive end of the Kaurava leadership.
