Kuntī–Vyāsa Dialogue on Durvāsā’s Boon and Karṇa’s Birth
ते चापि राजवचनात् पुरुषा ये गताभवन् | संकल्प्य तेषां कुल्यानि पुन: प्रत्यागमंस्ततः,जो लोग राजाकी आज्ञासे हरद्वारमें भेजे गये थे, वे उन तीनोंकी हड्डियोंको संचित करके वहाँसे फिर गंगाजीके तटपर गये। फिर भाँति-भाँतिकी मालाओं और चन्दनोंसे विधिपूर्वक उनकी पूजा की। पूजा करके उन सबको गंगाजीमें प्रवाहित कर दिया। इसके बाद हस्तिनापुरमें लौटकर उन्होंने यह सब समाचार राजाको कह सुनाया
te cāpi rājavacanāt puruṣā ye gatābhavan | saṅkalpya teṣāṃ kulyāni punaḥ pratyāgamaṃs tataḥ ||
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า คนเหล่านั้นซึ่งไปตามพระบัญชาของพระราชา ได้รวบรวมอัฐิและเศษซากของผู้ล่วงลับ แล้วกลับมายังฝั่งคงคา ที่นั่นเขาทั้งหลายบูชาตามพิธีด้วยพวงมาลัยนานาชนิดและจันทน์หอม แล้วจึงลอยอัฐินั้นลงสู่คงคา ครั้นแล้วจึงกลับไปยังหัสดินาปุระและกราบทูลรายงานความทั้งหมดแด่พระราชา
