Kuntī–Vyāsa Dialogue on Durvāsā’s Boon and Karṇa’s Birth
यानमाच्छादनं भोगान् दासीश्व समलंकृता: । ददौ राजा समुद्दिश्य तयोमत्रोर्महीपति:
vaiśampāyana uvāca | yānam ācchādanaṃ bhogān dāsīś ca samalaṅkṛtāḥ | dadau rājā samuddiśya tayor mātroḥ mahīpatiḥ ||
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า พระราชาผู้เป็นเจ้าแห่งแผ่นดินได้จัดสรรทานเพื่อถวายเกียรติแด่มารดาทั้งสอง พระองค์ประทานพาหนะ เครื่องปกคลุมและอาภรณ์ เครื่องเสวยสุขนานาประการ และนางทาสีผู้ประดับด้วยเครื่องอลังการ ในระเบียบแห่งทานหลวงนั้น ผู้ใดปรารถนาจะรับสิ่งใดเพียงใด ก็มีให้ตามปริมาณนั้น—เป็นภาพแห่งทานอันเป็นระเบียบซึ่งดำเนินไปด้วยธรรมและความเคารพต่อผู้ใหญ่
