यदत्रानन्तरं कार्य तद्‌ भवान्‌ वक्तुमर्हति । इत्युक्त: संजयेनेदं पुनराह स पार्थिव:,“अब इसके बाद क्या करना चाहिये--यह बतानेकी कृपा करें।” संजयके ऐसा कहनेपर राजाने फिर कहा--

yad atrānantaraṃ kāryaṃ tad bhavān vaktum arhati | ity uktaḥ saṃjayenedam punar āha sa pārthivaḥ |

“ต่อจากนี้ควรทำประการใด—ขอท่านได้โปรดบอกเถิด.” เมื่อสัญชัยกล่าวดังนั้น พระราชาจึงตรัสตอบอีกครั้ง.
