स चास्य सम्यड्मेधावी प्रत्यपद्यत वीर्यवान्‌ । इसके बाद राजा धृतराष्ट्रने बलवानोंमें श्रेष्ठ भीमसेनको सान्त्वना दी। बुद्धिमान्‌ एवं पराक्रमी भीमसेनने भी उनकी बातोंको यथार्थरूपसे ग्रहण किया--हृदयसे स्वीकार किया

sa cāsya samyaṅ-medhāvī pratyapadyata vīryavān |

ต่อจากนั้น พระราชาธฤตราษฏระทรงปลอบโยนภีมเสน ผู้เลิศในหมู่ผู้มีกำลัง และภีมเสนผู้ฉลาดและกล้าหาญก็รับถ้อยคำของธฤตราษฏระอย่างถูกต้องตามจริง—รับไว้ด้วยใจทั้งดวง
