यस्य यस्य तु यः कामस्तस्मिन्‌ काले बभूव ह | त॑ तं विसृष्टवान्‌ व्यासो वरदो धर्मवत्सलः,उस समय जिसके-जिसके मनमें जो-जो कामना उत्पन्न हुई, धर्मवत्सल वरदायक भगवान्‌ व्यासने वह सब पूर्ण की

yasya yasya tu yaḥ kāmas tasmin kāle babhūva ha | taṁ taṁ visṛṣṭavān vyāso varado dharmavatsalaḥ ||

ในกาลนั้น ความปรารถนาใด ๆ ที่บังเกิดขึ้นในดวงใจของผู้ใดก็ตาม พระวยาสผู้ทรงรักธรรมและเป็นผู้ประทานพร ก็ทรงบันดาลให้สำเร็จสิ้นทุกประการ
