धृतराष्ट्रस्य पाण्डवेषु प्रीति-वृत्तान्तः | Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Affectionate Disposition toward the Pāṇḍavas
व्यायामश्नायमत्यर्थ कृतस्त्वामभियाचता । ततो ग्लानमनास्तात नष्टसंज्ञ इवाभवम्,तात! तुमसे अनुरोध करनेके लिये बोलते समय मुझे बड़ा भारी परिश्रम करना पड़ा है। अत: क्षीणशक्ति होकर मैं अचेत-सा हो गया था
vyāyāmaśnāyam atyarthaṃ kṛtas tvām abhiyācatā | tato glānamano 'smi tāta naṣṭasaṃjña iva abhavam ||
ลูกเอ๋ย เพียงแค่เอ่ยวาจาวอนขอต่อเจ้า ข้าก็ต้องฝืนแรงอย่างยิ่ง ครั้นแล้วจิตใจก็อ่อนล้า กำลังกายก็ร่อยหรอ และข้าก็เป็นประหนึ่งผู้สิ้นสติ
