Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Śrāddha Request and Bhīma’s Objection (Āśramavāsika-parva, Adhyāya 17)
विदुर: संजयश्चैव राज्ञ: शय्यां कुशैस्ततः
viduraḥ saṃjayaś caiva rājñaḥ śayyāṃ kuśais tataḥ
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า— แล้ววิดูระกับสัญชัยได้จัดที่บรรทมของพระราชา โดยปูด้วยหญ้ากุศะ

Even those once surrounded by royal comfort must accept simplicity and restraint when following dharma in later life; service rendered with humility—such as preparing a simple kuśa-grass bed—supports renunciation and steadiness of mind.
After the Kurus withdraw to the forest, Vidura and Saṃjaya attend upon the king (Dhṛtarāṣṭra) by arranging his resting place using kuśa grass, indicating the shift from palace luxury to austere āśrama living.
