Chatra–Upānah Dāna: Origin Narrative
Jamadagni–Reṇukā–Sūrya Saṃvāda
तदिदं गृह्ुतां विद्वन् पुष्करं द्विजसत्तम | अतिक्रमं मे भगवन क्षन्तुमर्हस्यनिन्दित,द्विजश्रेष्ठ! विद्वन! अब आप अपने ये कमल लीजिये। भगवन्! अनिन्दनीय महर्षे! मेरा अपराध क्षमा कीजिये
tad idaṁ gṛhyatāṁ vidvan puṣkaraṁ dvijasattama | atikramaṁ me bhagavan kṣantum arhasy anindita ||
“ข้าแต่ท่านผู้รู้ ผู้ประเสริฐในหมู่พราหมณ์ ขอท่านจงรับพุษกร (ดอกบัว) นี้ไว้เถิด ข้าแต่ท่านผู้เจริญ ฤๅษีผู้ปราศจากมลทิน โปรดทรงอภัยความล่วงเกินของข้าด้วย”
