Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) | पुष्कर-शपथ-आख्यानम्

प्रीयन्ते पितरक्षास्य ऋषयो देवतास्तथा । यशोधर्मार्थभागी च भवति प्रेत्य मानव:,उसके ऊपर देवता, ऋषि और पितर सभी प्रसन्न होते हैं। वह मनुष्य इहलोकमें यश, धर्म एवं धनका भागी होता है। और मृत्युके पश्चात्‌ उसे स्वर्गलोक सुलभ होता है

prīyante pitarakṣāsya ṛṣayo devatās tathā | yaśo-dharmārtha-bhāgī ca bhavati pretya mānavaḥ ||

ต่อบุคคลเช่นนั้น ปิตฤ (บรรพชน), ฤๅษี และเหล่าเทพย่อมยินดี. เขาย่อมมีส่วนในเกียรติยศ ธรรม และทรัพย์สมบัติในโลกนี้; และครั้นสิ้นชีวิตแล้ว สวรรค์ย่อมเข้าถึงได้โดยง่ายสำหรับเขา.
