कृत्वाग्नौकरणं पूर्व मन्त्रपूर्व तपोधन । ततो5ग्नये5थ सोमाय वरुणाय च नित्यश:,“तब तपोधन! पहले वेदमन्त्रके उच्चारणपूर्वक अग्नौकरण--अग्निकरणकी क्रिया पूरी करके अग्नि, सोम, वरुण और पितरोंके साथ नित्य रहनेवाले विश्वेदेवोंको उनका भाग सदा अर्पण करे। साक्षात्‌ ब्रह्माजीने इनके भागोंकी कल्पना की है

Transliteration

kṛtvāgnaukaraṇaṃ pūrvaṃ mantrapūrva tapodhana | tato 'gnaye 'tha somāya varuṇāya ca nityaśaḥ ||

Translation

ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “ดูก่อนตโปธนผู้มั่งคั่งด้วยตบะ ครั้นทำพิธีอัคนौกรณะให้สำเร็จโดยการสวดมนต์พระเวทให้ถูกต้องแล้ว พึงถวายส่วนบูชาที่กำหนดไว้แก่พระอัคนี พระโสม และพระวรุณเป็นนิตย์วันแล้ววันเล่า เพื่อรักษาลำดับแห่งการบูชาและค้ำจุนหลักธรรมให้ดำรงอยู่”
