Transliteration

tan nibodha mahābāho sarvaṃ nigadato mama | suvarṇakā dānaṃ tubhyaṃ uttamaṃ phalaṃ dāsyati; yasmād dānārthe śreṣṭhatamaṃ prakīrtitam | mahābāho! suvarṇakā yad rūpaṃ, yasmāt sambhūtaṃ, yathā ca viśeṣa-guṇakārī, tat sarvaṃ te bravīmi—śṛṇu me |

ภีษมะกล่าวว่า—“จงรู้เถิด โอ้ผู้มีพาหาอันเกรียงไกร ข้าจะกล่าวให้ฟังโดยสิ้นเชิง ทานด้วยทองคำจักให้ผลอันยอดยิ่งแก่ท่าน เพราะถูกประกาศว่าเป็นทานที่ประเสริฐที่สุด โอ้ผู้มีพาหาอันเกรียงไกร ข้าจักอธิบายให้ครบถ้วนว่าทองคำมีลักษณะเช่นไร บังเกิดจากสิ่งใด และมีคุณวิเศษอย่างไร—จงฟังเรา”
