Brāhmaṇa-vandana: Criteria for Veneration, Disciplined Speech, and Protective Kingship (अनुशासनपर्व, अध्याय ८)
पश्यामि लोकानमलान् शुचीन् ब्राह्मणयायिन: । तेषु मे तात गन्तव्यमह्वाय च चिराय च,तात! ब्राह्मणकी सेवामें रहनेवाले पुरुषको जिन पवित्र और निर्मल लोकोंकी प्राप्ति होती है, उन्हें मैं यहींसे देखता हूँ। अब शीघ्र मुझे चिरकालके लिये उन्हीं लोकोंमें जाना है
paśyāmi lokān amalān śucīn brāhmaṇayāyinaḥ | teṣu me tāta gantavyam āhvāya ca cirāya ca ||
ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “ลูกเอ๋ย เราแลเห็นจากที่นี่เองซึ่งโลกอันบริสุทธิ์ไร้มลทิน ที่ผู้ตั้งมั่นในบริการและวิถีแห่งพราหมณ์ย่อมได้บรรลุ บัดนี้ไม่นานเราจะถูกเรียกไปยังแดนเหล่านั้น—และจะอยู่ยาวนาน”
