अन्नदान-प्रशंसा (Praise of the Gift of Food) | Annadāna-Praśaṃsā

यथा पत्याश्रयो धर्म: स्त्रीणां लोके सनातन: । सदैव सा गतिर्नान्या तथास्माकं द्विजातय:,जैसे इस संसारमें स्त्रियोंका सनातन धर्म सदा पतिकी सेवापर ही अवलम्बित है, उसी प्रकार ब्राह्मण ही सदैव हमारे आश्रय हैं। हमलोगोंके लिये उनके सिवा दूसरा कोई सहारा नहीं है

yathā patyāśrayo dharmaḥ strīṇāṃ loke sanātanaḥ | sadaiva sā gatir nānyā tathāsmākaṃ dvijātayaḥ ||

ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “ดุจดังในโลกนี้ ธรรมอันเป็นนิรันดร์ของสตรีทั้งหลายย่อมตั้งอยู่โดยมีสามีเป็นที่พึ่งฉันใด สำหรับพวกเรา เหล่าทวิชะก็เป็นที่ลี้ภัยอยู่เสมอฉันนั้น นอกจากท่านทั้งหลายแล้ว เราไม่มีที่พึ่งอื่นเลย”
