तेषु शुद्धेषु दान्तेषु स्वदारपरितोषिषु । यत्‌ करिष्यसि कल्याण तत्‌ ते लोके युधाम्पते

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | teṣu śuddheṣu dānteṣu svadāra-paritoṣiṣu | yat kariṣyasi kalyāṇa tat te loke yudhāmpate |

Translation

ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “โอ้เจ้าแห่งนักรบ! ต่อพราหมณ์ผู้บริสุทธิ์ ผู้สำรวมตน และพอใจในภรรยาชอบธรรมของตน การกระทำอันเป็นกุศลใด ๆ ที่เจ้าทำแก่ท่าน ย่อมเป็นเหตุแห่งความผาสุกแก่เจ้าในโลกนี้.”
