Cyavana’s Yogic Display and Kuśika’s Recognition of Tapas (च्यवन-योगप्रभावः कुशिकस्य तपःप्रशंसा च)
अभिगम्य भृगो: पुत्र च्यवनं संशितव्रतम् । इदं प्रोवाच नृपते वाचा संतर्पयज्निव,राजन! वे कठोर व्रतका पालन करनेवाले भृगुपुत्र महर्षि च्यवनके पास जाकर उन्हें अपनी वाणीद्वारा तृप्त करते हुए-से बोले
abhigamya bhṛgoḥ putraṁ cyavanaṁ saṁśitavratam | idaṁ provāca nṛpate vācā saṁtarpayann iva ||
ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “ข้าแต่พระราชา ครั้นเข้าไปเฝ้าจยวนะ บุตรแห่งภฤคุ ผู้มั่นคงในพรตอันเคร่งครัดแล้ว เขากล่าวถ้อยคำนี้ ราวกับจะทำให้ฤๅษีพอพระทัยด้วยวาจาอ่อนน้อมและไพเราะ”
