Cyavana’s Yogic Display and Kuśika’s Recognition of Tapas (च्यवन-योगप्रभावः कुशिकस्य तपःप्रशंसा च)
भीष्म उवाच महर्षेरवचनं श्रुत्वा नहुषो दुःखकर्शित: । स चिन्तयामास तदा सहामात्यपुरोहित:
bhīṣma uvāca mahārṣer vacanaṃ śrutvā nahuṣo duḥkhakarśitaḥ | sa cintayāmāsa tadā sahāmātya-purohitaḥ ||
ภีษมะกล่าวว่า—ครั้นได้สดับถ้อยคำของมหาฤๅษีแล้ว พระเจ้านหุษะผู้ถูกความโศกครอบงำก็ร้อนรนยิ่งนัก จากนั้นพระองค์จึงปรึกษาไตร่ตรองร่วมกับเสนาบดีและปุโรหิตประจำราชสกุลว่า ควรกระทำสิ่งใดต่อไป
