इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत अनुशासनपर्वके अन्तर्गत दानधर्मपर्वनें विशज्वामित्रका उपाख्यानविषयक चौथा अध्याय पूरा हुआ,तत्र चामिषलुब्धेन लुब्धकेन महावने । अविदूरे मृगान् दृष्टवा बाण: प्रतिसमाहित: उस महान् वनमें थोड़ी ही दूर जानेपर मांसलोभी व्याधने कुछ मृगोंको देखा और उनपर बाण चला दिया
tatra cāmiṣa-lubdhena lubdhakena mahāvane | avidūre mṛgān dṛṣṭvā bāṇaḥ pratisaṃhitaḥ ||
ในป่าใหญ่แห่งนั้น เมื่อไปได้ไม่ไกล นายพรานผู้โลภในเนื้อก็เห็นฝูงกวางอยู่ใกล้ ๆ จึงตั้งเป้าเล็งแน่วแน่แล้วปล่อยศรไป
