अन्यो>5प्यथ न विक्रेयो मनुष्य: कि पुन: प्रजा: । अधर्ममूलैहि धनैस्तैर्न धर्मोडथ कश्नन,किसी दूसरे मनुष्यको भी नहीं बेचना चाहिये; फिर अपनी संतानको बेचनेकी तो बात ही क्या? अधर्ममूलक धनसे किया हुआ कोई भी धर्म सफल नहीं होता
anyo 'py atha na vikreyo manuṣyaḥ; ki punaḥ prajāḥ | adharmamūlaiḥ dhanais tair na dharmo 'tha kaścana ||
แม้แต่มนุษย์คนอื่นก็ไม่ควรถูกซื้อขาย แล้วจะกล่าวถึงการขายบุตรหลานหรือผู้ที่อยู่ในความอุปการะของตนได้อย่างไร และธรรมใดๆ ย่อมไม่สัมฤทธิ์ผลเลย หากกระทำด้วยทรัพย์ที่มีรากเหง้ามาจากอธรรม
