ब्राह्मणपूजा-राजधर्मः | Royal Duty of Honoring Learned Brahmins

य एष राजा वीर्येण स्वजातिं त्याजितो मया । अनुजानीहि मां ब्रह्मन्‌ ध्यायस्व च शिवेन माम्‌,“क्योंकि इन राजाको मैंने अपने पराक्रमसे अपनी जाति त्याग देनेके लिये विवश कर दिया। ब्रह्मन! मुझे जानेकी आज्ञा दीजिये और मेरा कल्याण-चिन्तन कीजिये

ya eṣa rājā vīryeṇa svajātiṃ tyājito mayā | anujānīhi māṃ brahman dhyāyasva ca śivena mām ||

“กษัตริย์ผู้นี้ ข้าพเจ้าได้บีบบังคับด้วยเดชานุภาพของตน ให้ละทิ้งฐานะและวงศ์เดิมของตนเสียแล้ว ข้าแต่พราหมณ์ โปรดอนุญาตให้ข้าพเจ้าไป และโปรดระลึกถึงข้าพเจ้าด้วยความเป็นสิริมงคล”
