Educational Q&A

Brahminhood (brāhmaṇya) is portrayed as a rare ethical-spiritual attainment, not something that can be secured merely by asking for it; it depends on inner qualities, discipline, and conduct aligned with dharma.

Indra (Śakra), described as illustrious, addresses someone affectionately as “tāta” and warns that the sought-after status of brāhmaṇya is difficult to obtain and will not be gained simply through supplication.
