मार्कण्डेयान्मया प्राप्तो नियमेन जनार्दन । तवाप्यहममित्रघ्न स्तवं दद्यां हविश्रुतम्‌

Transliteration

Mārkaṇḍeyān mayā prāpto niyamena Janārdana | tavāpy aham amitraghna stavaṃ dadyāṃ haviśrutam ||

Translation

วายุเทพกล่าวว่า “โอ้ ชนารทนะ ด้วยการประพฤติวัตรอย่างเคร่งครัด เราได้รับบทสรรเสริญนี้จากมารกัณฑेय และแก่ท่านด้วย โอ้ ผู้ปราบศัตรู เราขอมอบสโตตระนี้—อันเลื่องลือดุจ ‘หวิส’ ที่ถวายในยัญพิธี”
