नामधेयानि देवेषु बहुन्यस्य यथार्थवत्‌ । निरुच्यन्ते महत्त्वाच्च विभुत्वात्‌ कर्मभिस्तथा,उनकी महत्ता, व्यापकता तथा दिव्य कर्मोंके अनुसार देवताओंमें उनके बहुत-से यथार्थ नाम प्रचलित हैं

nāmadheyāni deveṣu bahūny asya yathārthavat | nirucyante mahattvāc ca vibhutvāt karmabhis tathā ||

ท่ามกลางเหล่าเทพ มีพระนามของพระองค์มากมายที่เรียกขานกันอย่างมีความหมายแท้จริง—อันเกิดจากความยิ่งใหญ่ อำนาจอธิปไตยอันแผ่ไปทั่ว และจากพระกรณียกิจอันเป็นทิพย์ด้วย
