Shloka 19

एष एव श्मशानेषु देवो वसति निर्दहन्‌ । यजन्ते ते जनास्तत्र वीरस्थाननिषेविण:,ये ही भगवान्‌ शंकर अग्निरूपसे शवको दग्ध करते हुए श्मशानभूमिमें निवास करते हैं। जो लोग वहाँ उनकी पूजा करते हैं, उन्हें वीरोंको प्राप्त होनेवाले उत्तम लोक प्राप्त होते हैं

eṣa eva śmaśāneṣu devo vasati nirdahan | yajante te janās tatra vīrasthāna-niṣevinaḥ ||

วายุกล่าวว่า “เทพองค์นี้เองสถิตอยู่ในป่าช้า เผาผลาญสิ่งทั้งปวงที่ควรถูกเผา ผู้ใดบูชาพระองค์ ณ ที่นั้น—ผู้คุ้นเคยกับสถานที่ของวีรชน—ย่อมบรรลุโลกอันประเสริฐซึ่งเป็นผลแห่งความกล้าหาญ”

The verse teaches that the Lord’s presence is not confined to auspicious spaces; He is present even in cremation-grounds as the consuming, purifying fire.
