vaiśampāyana uvāca | ityetad akhilaṃ sarve pāṇḍavo bhrātṛbhiḥ saha | śrutavān sumahāścaryaṃ puṇyaṃ bhīṣmānuśāsanam ||
The verse underscores the sanctity and ethical authority of Bhīṣma’s dharma-teachings: they are to be heard fully, with reverence, as a complete guide to righteous conduct and governance, yielding moral clarity and spiritual merit (puṇya).
As Vaiśampāyana narrates, Yudhiṣṭhira—accompanied by his brothers—has now heard the entirety of Bhīṣma’s extensive instruction. The line functions as a concluding summary, marking the completion of Bhīṣma’s counsel in this section.
