Bhīṣma’s Yogic Departure, Royal Cremation, and Gaṅgā’s Lament (भीष्मस्य योगयुक्त्या देहत्यागः, पितृमेधः, गङ्गाविलापः)

नहि नः सा रति: स्वर्गे या च त्वद्दर्शने विभो । तदृतं च महाबाहो यदाह भगवान्‌ भव:,'प्रभो! आपके दर्शनमें हमारा जितना अनुराग है, उतना स्वर्गमें भी नहीं है। महाबाहो! भगवान्‌ शिवने जो कहा था, वह सर्वथा सत्य हुआ

nahi naḥ sā ratiḥ svarge yā ca tvaddarśane vibho | tad ṛtaṃ ca mahābāho yad āha bhagavān bhavaḥ ||

โอ้ผู้ทรงเดชานุภาพ ความปีติและภักดีที่พวกข้าพเจ้ามีเมื่อได้เฝ้าทัศนะพระองค์นั้น หาได้มีแม้ในสวรรค์ไม่ โอ้ผู้มีพระกรอันเกรียงไกร พระดำรัสของพระภควานภวะ (พระศิวะ) ได้ปรากฏเป็นความจริงโดยสิ้นเชิง
