उवाचोमा प्रणिह्ठिता शर्वाणी तपसां निधि: । दत्तो भगवता पुत्र: साम्बो नाम तवानघ,मेरे इस प्रकार कहनेपर भगवान्‌ शंकरने कहा, “एवमस्तु--ऐसा ही हो।” तब सबका धारण-पोषण करनेवाली सर्वपावनी तपोनिधि रुद्रपत्नी जगदम्बा उमादेवी एकाग्रचित्त होकर बोलीं--“निष्पाप श्यामसुन्दर! भगवानने तुम्हें साम्ब नामक पुत्र दिया है

Transliteration

uvāca umā praṇihitā śarvāṇī tapasāṁ nidhiḥ | datto bhagavatā putraḥ sāmbo nāma tavānagha |

Translation

พระอุมา—พระศรวาณี ผู้เป็นขุมทรัพย์แห่งตบะ—ตรัสด้วยจิตแน่วแน่ว่า “โอ ผู้ปราศจากมลทิน! พระผู้เป็นเจ้าได้ประทานบุตรนามว่า ‘สามพะ’ แก่ท่านแล้ว”
