Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
ममैवानुचरो नित्यं भवितासीति चाब्रवीत् | तथा पुत्रसहस्राणामयुतं च ददौ प्रभु:,भगवानने उसे यह भी वर दिया था कि “तुम मेरे नित्य पार्षद हो जाओगे” साथ ही उन प्रभुने उसे सहस्र अयुत (एक करोड़) पुत्र प्रदान किये
mamaivānucaro nityaṃ bhavitāsīti cābravīt | tathā putrasahasrāṇām ayutaṃ ca dadau prabhuḥ ||
พระองค์ตรัสอีกว่า “เจ้าจักเป็นผู้ติดตามรับใช้เราเป็นนิตย์”; และพระผู้เป็นเจ้าก็ประทานบุตรนับ ‘อายุตะแห่งพัน’ คือมากล้นถึงหนึ่งโกฏิ ให้แก่เขาด้วย
