Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ

Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony

विष्णोश्ष॒क्रंं च तद्‌ घोरं वज़ञमाखण्डलस्य च । शीर्ण पुराभवत्‌ तात ग्रहस्याड्रेषु केशव,तात केशव! भगवान्‌ विष्णुका वह भयंकर चक्र तथा इन्द्रका वज्र भी पूर्वकालमें उस ग्रहके अंगोंपर पुराने तिनकोंके समान जीर्ण-शीर्ण-सा हो गया था

viṣṇoś cakraṃ ca tad ghoraṃ vajram ākhāṇḍalasya ca | śīrṇaṃ purābhavat tāta grahasyāṅgeṣu keśava ||

วาสุเทวะกล่าวว่า “โอ้ผู้เป็นที่รัก โอ้เคศวะ—แม้จักรอันน่าสะพรึงของพระวิษณุ และวัชระของอาขัณฑละ (พระอินทร์) ในกาลก่อน ก็ยังสึกกร่อนแตกสลายลงบนอวัยวะของครหะนั้น ประหนึ่งฟางเก่า”
